The Post
Although appointed to a specific post and location in the first instance, you may be required to undertake appropriate duties at any location within the University of the Arts London. Appointment is subject to pre-employment health assessment by the University of the Arts London's Occupational Physician and satisfactory completion of a one year probationary period. Following satisfactory completion of the probationary period, you will participate in the planning, review and appraisal process.
Pay, Performance and Development
Pay is reviewed annually on 1 August, based on performance and achievements, and level of job responsibilities, within an overall level of increase determined by the Court of Governors. This review also agrees objectives for the year ahead, including personal development objectives.
Salary Payment
Salaries are paid on the last day of the month directly into bank or building society accounts.
Hours of work
37 hours per week and such additional hours as may be necessary for proper fulfilment of duties and responsibilities.
Holidays
30 days annual leave. The leave taking year runs from 1 April - 31 March. You will also be entitled to Bank Holidays and any time when the University of the Arts London may be officially closed (e.g. between Christmas Day and the New Year Bank Holiday).

Pension
You will automatically be entered into the Local Government Pension Scheme, the Teachers Pension Scheme, or Universities Superannuation Scheme as appropriate, and from which you can "opt out". Both you and University of the Arts London make contributions to the Pension Fund. It is a "final salary" scheme.
Flexible Working
University of the Arts London aims to meet requests to work flexibly whenever practicable. If you are interested in job sharing or some other kind of flexible working, a letter with details of the request should be attached to the completed application. If shortlisted, you can then discuss the possibilities further.

You will be able to apply for interest-free loans for the purchase of a season ticket, and for computer equipment related to your role within the University of the Arts London.

Reduced-rate sports and leisure facilities
University of the Arts London is a member of the Seymour Leisure Centre (in Seymour Place, W1) and staff benefit from reduced rates on facilities such as swimming, badminton, squash and use of the health suite as well as from priority booking arrangements. (Facilities are also available at the Porchester Centre, Queensway, W2, Queen Mother Sports Centre, Victoria, SW1 and the Jubilee Sports Centre, W10).
Identity Cards
All staff are required to carry identity cards to enable access to London University of the Arts London buildings.
No Smoking Policy
University of the Arts London has adopted a "No Smoking Policy" throughout all its buildings.
Relocation Assistance
