Chelsea College of
Art & Design

I came to University of the Arts London as a temp and I enjoyed the environment so much that I stayed. I liked the people, the ethos, and the values of the organisation and particularly of Chelsea where I now work.

For me it was new and interesting and stimulating and while it was more informal and relaxed, things do happen, the difference is that you can be creative in the way that you work.

There is a huge range of cross-fertilisation and collaboration between individuals and Colleges and there are great opportunities as this is a time of great change within the organisation.

Having trained in a creative environment myself - albeit performance rather than design - and having taught in state schools, I think that being involved in creative education appealed to my subconscious. I can see the values of Higher Education, and the importance of education through art.
